We are a small, independent comprehensive ophthalmology clinic and optical shop in beautiful Missoula, Montana seeking an independent contractor optometrist. Our clinic has a reputation for excellence in customer service and patient care offering routine eye exams along with medical and surgical eye care. Over 35 years we have built an exceptional staff and culture, a significant patient volume and a reliable referral network. Recently our comprehensive ophthalmologist with over 35 years of excellent service to the western Montana region has paused his practice abruptly due to a medical event. Our other comprehensive ophthalmologist has increased her schedule to accommodate some of his patients but we have a considerable population of established patients waiting for eye care. We believe an independently contracted optometrist could help us provide essential screenings and eye care for many patients currently on our waiting list. Optometrists experienced in glaucoma monitoring could prove especially equipped for this role. We can offer the opportunity to work with a great team of experienced staff, access to a considerable volume of established patients, a flexible schedule and percentage of revenue generated. We can also offer flexibility on the term or duration of the contract. This could be a great opportunity for either a short-term position or for a long-term practice for the right candidate.
