Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a level II trauma, acute care hospital assignment; Epic EMR experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a short-term acute care hospital with level II trauma designation
- Assigned to the general ultrasound department with a 1:1 patient ratio
- No floating between units within the hospital
- Day shift schedule (4x10 hours) from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call required 1-2 nights per week with occasional weekend coverage
- Block scheduling is required
- Epic EMR is used and Epic experience is required
- Position does not require floating between units
- All travelers should be prepared to float within the facility if needed
- Scrub color is flexible; scrubs are provided in sterile areas
- Occasional weekend coverage and 1-2 on-call shifts per week are part of the schedule
- RTO must be requested up front; post-acceptance time off requests may not be approved
- Return travelers previously employed at the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning
- A 50-mile local radius rule applies; local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
- Pre-start and annual online module completion is required
- COVID and Flu vaccination documentation may be required
- Parking is free
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a General Ultrasound Technologist
- Valid Allied license in hand required for consideration; License required if applicable
- References from 2 supervisory sources covering at least 1 year within the past 3 years
- Familiarity with Epic EMR required
