Overview

Director of Sales and Marketing (on-site, not remote) at Weiler. Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies and initiatives that support business goals and objectives. Develop strategy for and oversee the execution of dealer development and relationships based on what is best for the end customer and the company in parallel.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with production on customer and internal driven priority of schedule and long-term production levels to keep production steady (+/- 10% from forecast).
  • Utilize feedback from sales manager, customers, dealers, and engineering to establish product pricing recommendations for senior management.
  • Facilitate communication between all departments within the organization to best meet the strategic objectives of the company.
  • Manage, support and coach team members to drive performance, sales results, and goal achievement that supports business objectives and goals.
  • Collaborate with sales manager to develop and implement strategy for dealer communication and feedback to achieve end customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing manager to create and implement strategic marketing plans that drive achievement of company goals, support dealer and sales goals, as well as corporate image and branding goals.
  • Develop new product introduction strategy that generates interest, excitement and new business with dealers and end customers.
  • Oversee all marketing and sales spending.
  • Travel 20% of the time and maintain flexibility with schedules.
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes are followed and adhered to by self as well as employees in span of control.
  • Ensure work is always performed in a safe manner, including while on customer job sites, for everyone involved.
  • Monitor and evaluate current sales and marketing trends and techniques, as well as competitors to ensure the company remains competitive in the industry.

This position manages a Director-level or similar responsibilities and is responsible for the hiring and performance management of these employees.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, advertising, or related field or 5 years of field sales experience (preferably in heavy equipment), or equivalent. Well-developed and demonstrated sales skills, strategic planning, extensive experience in all aspects of negotiation, and ability to close deals. Previous management experience required.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several components in variable and standardized situations. Ability to multitask and keep organized. Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision.
