This role offers the opportunity to lead commercial analytics initiatives that directly inform strategic and forecasting decisions. The Associate Director will work hands-on with complex datasets, leveraging predictive, descriptive, and prescriptive analytics to uncover growth opportunities and optimize market performance. The position involves cross-functional collaboration with commercial operations, market research, and data strategy teams to ensure insights are actionable and aligned with business goals. Candidates will engage in designing segmentation models, conducting demand forecasts, and interpreting patient flow data, with the goal of improving commercial effectiveness. This role is highly analytical, requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, and provides visibility into high-impact business decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. On-site presence in New York is required at least three days per week.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain performance trackers, performing comprehensive analytics to guide strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct subnational analyses to provide local insights and identify growth opportunities through advanced analytics.
  • Design and implement segmentation models and conduct market mapping and patient journey analyses using PTD and EMR datasets.
  • Deliver ad-hoc analytics for integrated and quarterly business reviews, collaborating with internal teams such as market research, data strategy, and commercial operations.
  • Lead demand forecasting initiatives and develop patient flow models to inform product valuation and decision-making.
  • Manage multiple analytics projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting critical deadlines.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research), with Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing analytics.
  • Hands-on proficiency with programming languages and analytics platforms such as Python, R, SQL.
  • Extensive knowledge of secondary and syndicated data sources, including patient claims data (IQVIA/SHA), sales force activity data, and real-world evidence datasets (MarketScan, Optum claims).
  • Experience with data visualization tools and CRM systems (Salesforce, Veeva).
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey complex analyses to stakeholders.
  • CNS therapeutic knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work on-site at least three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).
