The Plant Operations & Maintenance Manager position supervises employees performing a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance work. Applications for this position will be accepted until Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 11:59PM MST, screening for the position will begin on Monday July 14, 2025. The starting wage range* for this position is: $36.03/hour - $41.42/hour. The full wage range* for this position is: $36.03/hour - $43.90/hour. *Cost of living increase for fiscal year 2026 dependent upon Council approval.
Working Conditions: Position requires the ability to lift and maneuver 55 lbs. or less. Work environment may involve occasional exposure to unavoidable seasonal weather conditions, occupational hazards, loud noises, biohazards, and physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Must be able to climb ladders to access wastewater treatment plant facilities. Position requires on-call and/or overtime shifts, as needed.
Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of wastewater treatment plant operation experience or another relevant field. Must have supervisory or management experience. Must have a valid Montana driver's license with a verified acceptable driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire. Must have Montana Class 1C Wastewater Treatment Operator certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire. Montana Boiler Operators license, preferred.
