The Technologist, under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation via radiopharmaceuticals for radiologic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent, while providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards.
