Kenworth Sales is currently looking for a District Manager to lead our Spokane, Missoula, and future Post Falls locations! This position is a rare find at Kenworth, as our District Managers tend to become some of our most tenured employees within the Kenworth Sales family. The primary function of the District Manager is to supervise Company operations in assigned Branch locations, while striving to fulfill the Company vision, mission and values. We're looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual dedicated to helping our customers build the kind of success that Kenworth knows so well.
The ideal candidate;
Would preferably possess a College degree in business management or a related field.
Is able to comprehend and implement basic management, accounting and computer programming principles.
Possesses working knowledge of commercial vehicles, their components and their operation.
Has at least ten years of experience in an automotive dealership management position, with responsibility for supervision of others.
Maintains a professional personal appearance.
Possesses excellent communication, management and supervisory skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
WORKING CONDITIONS
The District Manager works both indoors and out, moving about the dealership facility and lot to communicate with the Dealer, Managers, employees, suppliers and customers. Part of the job requires desk work with video display terminal, ten-key calculator, telephone and other electronic equipment. Weekend, evening and holiday hours will be required. Extensive travel on a regular basis, via automobile, airplane and other modes of public transportation will be required.
Must be able to climb in, out and around commercial vehicles unassisted, including the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, reach, step upward and downward, lift 10 lbs., hold warm and/or dirty automotive parts. Will be exposed regularly to vehicle emissions, noise, vibration, hazardous materials and toxic chemicals used in the servicing and repair of automobiles.
